Renovation works are being completed at Goris High School

On the 10th of April the representatives of CEP PIU toured the Goris High School, got acquainted with the works carried out as a result of the renovation.
The renovation of the school was co-financed by the World Bank within the framework of the "Improving Education" loan program of the "Center for Educational Programs" PIU. The school is one of the eight high schools in the process of renovation under 2nd stage of this program.
The buildings of the educational institution have been completely renovated. Classrooms, laboratories, the banquet hall and the gym have been equipped with new equipment and technical resources.
Landscaping works have been carried out in the territories nearby the school. All the requirements for the organization of inclusive education were observed during the development of the renovation projects.
It should be mentioned that reconstruction activities were carried out according to seismic safety standards. Note that 8 schools were selected on the criteria developed by the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sport and agreed with the World Bank.
During the visits the representatives of PIU examined the quality of the construction works. They also discussed a number of issues related to design and construction activities. The representatives of the contractor organizations were also present during the visit.
