Within the frameworks of the "Education Improvement Project Additional Financing" (EIP AF) loan project the provision of grants for the establishment of preschool institutions is ongoing. The project aims to increase the involvement of children in pre-school education institutions, to prepare children for entering the primary school thus ensuring the smooth transition. On May 26 meetings with the directors of educational institutions of Yerevan and RA regions were held at the Center for Education Programs PIU under the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sport of the RA.Wishing effective joint work to the participants, Ruzanna Khachatryan, the head of the 1.1 sub-component ''Promoting School Readiness and Equal Opportunities at the Start of General Education presented the goals and objectives of the program, spoke about the procurement procedures, in particular, about the features of the quotation package. The participants of the meeting were also focused on the peculiarities of planning and organizing financial procedures of micro-projects. The CEP PIU 1.1Sub-Component respective program staff presented in detail and clarified the specifics of filling out the financial report related forms. During the meeting, there were also content issues, the clarification of which was given by the sub-component staff. Grant agreements were signed with Yerevan basic school N 6, N 52, N91 as well as Gyumri basic school N 6, Gavar basic school N3, Parakar secondary school, Arinj secondary school and Marmarik basic school. The signing of the grant agreements will be followed by the actual renovation activities.
