9 Newly Established Preschools in Yerevan

On 1st of Sptember Araksia Svajyan ESCS Deputy Minister, on the occasion of Knowledge Day visited Yerevan General School No. 167 in Yerevan, where new preschool opened this year.Elena Harutyunyan, Deputy Head of the General Education Department of the Municipality, and other high-ranking officials attended the opening ceremony
ESCS Deputy Minister Araksia Svajyan welcomed the guests and accompanied by the representatives of community leaders, turned around the preshool, got acquainted with the works done, talked to teachers and parents.
It should be noted that from September 1-9 , 2024, new preschools were operating in Yerevan: Beautiful and colorful rooms, toy-filled corners – under these conditions the pupils of the newly established preschool will spend their everyday life. Teachers and community residents highlighted the importance of preschool establishment․The School Directors noted that preschool education is the pillar of the successful educational process and establishment of preschools, as a result of such projects, is an important precondition for having a literate and educated citizen tomorrow. As a result of the implemented micro-project, renovation works were carried out in schools. installation of doors and windows, improvement works of adjacent areas were carried out. The preschools were furnished with the necessary furniture, all the necessary equipment was provided for the effective organization of pre-school education. Training of the teachers was also organized in the frames of the project.
It should be added that all the requirements for the organization of inclusive education have been met by the “Center for Education Projects” PIU while implementing the projects for the preschool establishment, that is to say that the newly established preschools have adjusted environment.
It should be noted that this academic year, 20 new preschools were opened within the framework of the “Education Improvement Project Additional Financing" loan project.
