For the purpose of technical monitoring of the quality and progress of rehabilitation works of high schools in the frameworks of "Education Improvement Project Additional Financing"loan project,visits had been conducted bythe representatives of CEP PIU to RA regionsas during the entire rehabilitation process The visits in August were carried out by the PIU representatives of the 1.2 subcomponent Grigor Baghdasaryan and Manvel Saribekyan. The representatives of the CEP PIU got acquainted with the ongoing construction works at the Artashathigh school . The rehabilitation works started in 2023. It should be mentioned that reconstruction activities are carried out according to seismic safety standards. Artashat high school is among those 4 schools, that were selected based on the criteria developed by the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sport and agreed with the World Bank.
During the visits the representatives of PIU examined the quality of the construction works. They also toured across the rehabilitation area, discussed a number of issues related to design and construction activities. As a result of monitoringvisits, the representatives of CEP PIU mentioned, that the works for the improvement of school areas were in the initial stage, construction of playgrounds, exterior and interior stairs have been started. The representatives of the contractor companies were also present during the visits. The participants stated that such visits contribute to the rehabilitation process of the high schools.
