Grant Agreements for the Establishment of Pre-Schools

Within the framework of the " Education Improvement Project " with Additional Financing (EIP AF) loan program the provision of grants for the establishment of preschool institutions is ongoing. The program aims to increase the involvement of children in pre-school education institutions, to prepare children for entering the primary school. During April 1-20 meeting with the directors of educational institutions of Ararat and Gegharqunik regions was held at the Center for Education Programs PIU of the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sport of the RA,
Wishing effective joint work to the participants, Ruzanna Khachatryan, the head of the ''Promoting School Readiness and Equal Opportunities at the Start of General Education ''sub-component presented the goals and objectives of the program, spoke about the procurement procedures, in particular, about the features of the quotation package. The participants of the meeting were also focused on the peculiarities of planning and organizing financial procedures of micro-projects. Sub-Component Representatives of the Center for Education Programs PIU presented in detail and clarified the specifics of filling out the financial report related forms . During the meeting, there were also content issues, the clarification of which was given by the sub-component staff Grant agreements were signed withthe selected educational institutions of Ararat and Geghaqunik regions. . The signing of grant agreementswill be followed by the actual renovation activities.
The directors of the educational institutions raised a number of questions about the envisioned renovation works. All the questions were addressed comprehensively. During the meetings, a number of other issues related to the implementation of the program in general and suggestions for their solution were discussed.
