It should be noted that the Center for Veterinary Education Excellence was established with the co-financing of the World Bank and with the support of the "Center for Educationl Projects" PIU within the framework of the "Education Improvement" credit project. It will contribute to the training of competitive specialists in the field through professional education and the strengthening of the university-labor market connection, as well as will be a serious impetus for the reform and modernization of educational and scientific processes in the field. The Center of Excellence will also provide students with the opportunity to equip themselves with practical skills, implement science programs, and provide educational and training services to farmers and practicing veterinarians. The center has three main departments: a modern veterinary simulation department, a clinic and educational classrooms. Congratulating the participants on the opening of the center, minister of MESCS Vahram Dumanyan stressed the importance of the development of agro-technological direction in our country.
"We must do everything possible to increase competition in this area, so that young people strive to study at the Agrarian University in the most important professions for us. The sphere of veterinary medicine and animal husbandry is very important for our country today. We should have qualified personnel who will be armed with modern knowledge and skills. “The opening of this center is aimed at solving this problem”; the minister said, thanking all the parties that have contributed to the establishment of the center.
Deputy Minister of Economy Tigran Gabrielyan, in his turn, noted the importance of having a center of excellence just at the Armenian National Agrarian University. "Veterinary medicine is not only a theoretical profession; it requires practical knowledge. I am sure that the center's activity will contribute to the development of students' practical skills".
