Within the frameworks of the "Support to the Secondary School Third Level Development" sub-component works of the “Center for Education Projects” PIU, PIU representatives paid a monitoring visit to the Yerevan High School N 182. Participants, accompanied by director Ruzanna Alaverdyan, took part in the process of adopting modern equipment for laboratories that are being created in the field of natural sciences. Maria Naboyan, a representative of the LLC "ENSOF" (formerly LLC "ENGLER") was also present at the meeting. She introduced technical capabilities and terms of use of the equipment to the teachers of physics and chemistry, as well as spoke about their applicability. Due to director R. Alaverdyan, provided laboratory equipment will be applicable on a daily basis during the lessons. “Innovative laboratories in high schools are very important for the development of the natural sciences. They will provide children with the opportunity to pursue professional orientation, as well as become competitive specialists in the modern world and combine the theoretical knowledge they have gained with practice. Creating natural science laboratories has been a dream for us, and we've been waiting for these devices for a long time”,-added the director. Coordinator of “Center for Education Projects” PIU’s "Support to the Secondary School Third Level Development" sub-component Nune Asryan stated that newly created laboratories will help to attract interest in the natural sciences, and teachers will be able to strengthen the knowledge they pass through practical training. "For the full, effective teaching of natural subjects the logistics base of the high schools, especially of regional high schools is underdeveloped. Only theoretical teaching of natural subjects does not develop practical skills and abilities of pupils, they are formed during laboratory, demonstration experiments. Now students can practice the theoretical part of their study, perform complex chemical experiments on their own. These laboratory equipment gives them that opportunity and I'm sure they will be able to become inventors too”,-added Nune Asryan.
