The Subsequent Stage of Grant Project of NUACA is Being Summarized.

     Within the framework of Competitive Innovation Fund (CIF) of Armenian Higher Education one week monitoring of current grant programs has been launched at Higher Educational Establishments on June 6. In this context, on June 13, the meeting was held at the National University of Architecture and Construction of Armenia (NUACA). The monitoring was conducted by the representatives of the ''Center for Education Projects'' PIU. The participants walked around the territory of the university accompanied by NUACA representatives, and got acquainted with the work of creation of research and experimental laboratory of architectural and construction specialties within the frameworks of CIF. It is worth to mention than in April the 6-th stage of grant program for “modernization of curricula of architectural and constructional specialties with the creation of educational and research experimental laboratory equipped with the modern technologies” was finished. As a result of this stage monitoring the participants fixed that the laboratory equipment, furniture,hardware and software procured within the framework of the project, after the previous monitoring visit, were placed in the appropriate laboratories. The participants were greeted by grant project manager Varazdat Hovhanissyan. A number of issues related to the organization of future work and procedures provided by the grant project were discussed during meeting. The laboratory staff presented the details of the research work already carried out by these equipment’s. Delivery of Laser machines is in progress. Procurement of additional laboratory equipment is being summarized. It should be reminded that the rehabilitation of the territory of the laboratory, acquisition of the assigned furniture, hardware, ventilation and security systems were carried out in the previous stages of the grant project. The furnishing of the laboratory and the auditorium is also carried out. The project manager mentioned that the procedure of developing and reviewing of seven professions curriculum related to the issues of Architectural and Building Materials Science, Technology and Structures are also in the process in order to newly organize the Architectural and Construction education. It has already been completed for three specialties. Development of new methodological manuals is in the process, the procurement of professional literature has been completed. The representatives of the higher educational institution also provided details on the business trips and trainings provided in the frameworks of the grant project, discussed the possibilities of cooperation and initiatives on the basis of the laboratories, which are being created. It should be added that this educational and research experimental laboratory base equipped with modern technologies, will become a new standard of quality for NUACA in the near future.
