High schools of RA regions are in the center of attention

On September 1st  the representatives of Center for Education Projects PIU were in RA Gegharkunik region on a working visit. The aim of the visit was the start of rehabilitation activities in High School after T. Abrahamyan of Martuni city in RA Gegharkunik region in the framework of ''Education Improvement'' Credit Project. At present High School of Martuni city is one of 17 high schools included in the reconstruction program being performed in the framework of activities of the subcomponent ''Support to the development of the third level of secondary school''. Note that the reconstruction activities have already launched in 3 of 5 high schools in RA regions. On August 31 the representatives of ''Gevorgyan and Nersisyan'', ''Agat 777'' LLC JV, as well as the representatives of ''Parapet'' LLC conducting technical supervision and the representatives of ''Babayan-LAT Project'' LLC conducting Author's monitoring and the representatives of the above mentioned school got acquainted with the activities carried out in construction site. Note that according to Transfer Act of construction site, the start of construction work is set for September 12, 2016 and the duration of construction work is about 24 months. During the visit the Head of subcomponent 'Support to the development of the third level of secondary school'' of the Center for Education Projects PIU PetrosKaramyan wishing everyone effective cooperation, handed construction permits, construction management journals and working projects to the representatives of ''Gevorgyan and Nersisyan'' and ''Agat 777'' LLC JV. The participants also discussed some issues related to construction activities. It is planned to fence the construction site, to install warning signs and to control the area during construction activities. Note that the above mentioned school will organize educational process in other area during implementation of rehabilitation activities. We should add that the implementation of ''Education Improvement'' Project is aimed at up-grading and improvement of school infrastructures selected in different regions of Armenia, which in turn will improve the quality of education services and will reduce operation and maintenance costs.
