Rehabilitation activities of high schools have launched.

On August 9, the CEP PIU representatives were in RA Ararat and Armavir regions on a working visit. The aim of the visit was the start of rehabilitation activities in High School No 2 of Metsamor city in RA Armavir region and in the High School of Ararat city of Ararat region in the framework of Education Improvement Project. Metsamor High School No 2 is a complex with 4 buildings and currently 2 buildings are included in reconstruction project. The representatives of the contractor "Baghramyanshin" OJSC, ''Parapet'' LLC conducting technical supervision, "BabayanLatProject" LLC conducting Author's monitoring and representatives of other relevant schools got acquainted with the activities carried out in construction site. Let us remind that on May 27 , 2016 according to the contract of construction activities the buildings of high schools of Metsamor and Ararat and surrounding areas were given to the winner of the tender - Baghramyanshin OJSC as construction sites. Note that according to Transfer Act of construction site, the start of construction work is set for August 15,2016 and the completion is expected within 26 months according to plans of construction activities. During the visit the Head of subcomponent 1.2 of the Center for Education Projects PIU Petros Karamyan wishing everyone effective cooperation, handed construction permits, construction management journals and working projects to "Baghramyanshin" OJSC construction company. The participants also discussed some issues related to rehabilitation activities. Moreover that the above mentioned schools will organize educational process in other areas during implementation of rehabilitation activities. Ararat High School will organize the educational process in the building of Ararat Primary School No 4 and Metsamor High School No 2 - in 2 buildings of its complex currently not included in the reconstruction project. We should add that the implementation of Education Improvement Project is aimed at up- grading and improvement of school infrastructures selected in different regions of Armenia, which in turn will improve the quality of education services and will reduce operation and maintenance costs. Implementation of the project contributes to an increase in social and economic benefits in communities being in the project service area.
