A two-day workshop was held in CEP PIU office within the framework of CIF cycle of EIP AF

On October 20-21 a two-day workshop with the participation of the representatives from potential beneficiaryinstitutions (both state and private) as well as with the participation of CEP PIU program, financial and procurement staff was held inthe CEP PIU office.
The main purpose of the organized meeting was to thoroughly discuss all issues related to overallproject implementation including the procedures related to filling out grant proposals, the sizes of the provided grants, the types of the projects financed by the CIF grants, the basic requirements for the implementation of consortium projects, the priority directions for the new CIF cycle, the project duration,the deadlines for submission of grant proposals, financial and other issues and to provide comprehensive answers.

More than 20representatives of about 10 state and non-state universities that were interested in the grant projects participated in the workshop. The deadline for submission of grant proposals within the framework of the Competitive Innovation Fund was setNovember 21, 2022.
The agenda was designed to cover all aspects of the submission of grant proposals, including programmatic, financial, procurement, monitoring and other procedures.On the first day of the workshop, the participants discussed the approved priority directions for the CIF new cycle the processes of proposal evaluation and selection of as well as the specifics of compiling the formats of the annexes submitted to the grant proposal.On the second day of the workshopthe PIU relevant financial and procurement specialists presented the features of planning and organizing theCIFgrant projects from the procurement and financial procedures perspectives, WB procurement procedures, procurement methods, as well as questions related to filling out the procurement plan. At the end of the meeting, a discussion was also held relating the issues of the accountability of CIF grant projects, the specifics of the assessment of financial capacities of theCIF grant projects. The preparation and presentation of the project budget was presented. At the end of the workshop the participants mentioned that the meeting was very helpful and contributedgreatly to clarifying the requirements for processing and submitting grant proposals .The CEP PIU program staff stressed that CIF grants will support the projects aimed at increasing the relevance, effectiveness and accessibility of education
