Additionally, the details of the center's establishment are available in the previous publications at the official website of the Center for Education Projects PIU.
At the beginning of the opening ceremony of the "Sport CAB" scientific research center, Vahram Arakelyan, the Rector of the ASIPCS, in his speech said that the opening of the research center is the result of the continuation of the university's internationalization policy.
"Availability of such modern equipment in the university will promote mutually beneficial cooperation with potential and actual partners, in particular, promoting the expansion of spheres of scientific and medical activities in the field of medicine," said the Rector.
Minister of Education and Science of RA, Araik Harutyunyan also highlighted the importance of such programs, which will bring the university and its place among other universities at the new high-quality level.
According to the minister, this is what the new government and the new Ministry of Education and Science promotes, that is, that the universities will turn into research centers as well. Getting acquainted with the opportunities provided by the center, the Minister emphasized:
"Existence of such a research center in the University enables fundamental scientific research in the field of physical culture and sport and to form competitive scientific and innovative potential, gradually shifting to the status of research institute".
According to Arayik Gyozalyan, ASIPCS Grant Project Manager, Director of the Scientific Research Center, the grant project was implemented thanks to joint work with the Center for Education Projects PIU.
"As a result of our joint work and cooperation, a unique research center has been set up, which creates a great opportunity for university staff to create scientific works in the field of sports medicine," A. Gyozalyan said.
It is remarkable that the center, which is equipped with unique equipment, as well as a lifecycle management system, is still the only one in the whole region. In the right place the guests had the opportunity to watch the presented equipment work and inquired about their application goals in the educational and research process. In the newly opened research center athletes can check the work of the cardiac and respiratory system, as well as muscle overload. There is an opportunity to check the limbs and the bone system with the help of point beams. As a result of the Grant Program, the acquired unique equipments automatically evaluate and determinate athlete's readiness, give analysis of motor system and of body composition.
There are cardiological rehabilitation departments and a smart audience in the center. Speaking about the Center's capabilities, the grant project manager mentioned: "As a result of the grant program, the University has serious preconditions for active and productive cooperation and discuss possible cooperation programs with a number of federations, teams, sports and other circles, which will further promote entrepreneurial activity in the university."
