A working visit to Tavush region

On September 1-2 the representatives of Center for Education Projects PIU were in RA Tavush region on a working visit for two days. The aim of the visit was the start of rehabilitation activities in High School of Noyemberyan city in RA Tavush region in the framework of ''Education Improvement'' CreditProject. The representatives of Center for Education Projects PIU got acquainted with the territory of High School of Noyemberyan and with surrounding areas, discussed some issues related to construction activities. Touring in both construction site and inside the building, the participantsgotacquainted with the work in progress, discussed a number of necessary functions carried out for design, construction, operation and maintenance. The representatives of construction companies "Ukrshin" OJSC and "The Road" JV LLC conducting design and construction activities, as well as the representatives of ''Parapet'' LLC conducting technical supervision and the representatives of ''Babayan-LAT Project''conducting Author's monitoring were present at the meeting. Various architectural and construction approaches were discussed during the visit. We should add that now ''D'' building of the high school will be reconstructed in the framework of ''Education Improvement'' Credit Project. A number of problems related to the implementation of the reconstruction of ''D'' building of the above mentioned high school and certain suggestions for their solution were discussed during the meeting. The participants stated that the implementation of "Education Improvement" Project in RA regions will not only contribute to the restoration and improvement of infrastructures in selected schools,but will also reduce operation and maintenance costs, as well as the implementation of the project will contribute to the increase insocial and economic benefits in communities being in the project service area.
